During the Lockdown, maintenance of our vehicle is most important thing and that
you’ll give it a longer life. So some ideas of maintaining vehicle is given
below:
Parking
The parking place of your vehicle is very important to maintain your vehicle because the excessive exposure to sunlight will certainly damage your car. The paintwork of most cars will fade and lose its colour if continuously exposed the sun and the leather used in a car seats is often treated to be more resistant to sun damage. Always try to park your vehicle in a shaded spot or under cover and regularly waxing your car's paint work can also protected from sunlight.
Fill your petrol/diesel tank full
One of the most important thing is fill up your petrol/diesel tank is half full because the first thing is it will help you in an emergency situation and the more petrol/diesel you have in your tank, the less air occupying it’s empty space. Petrol/diesel evaporate faster when it is contact with air. Nowadays petrol/diesel storage tanks have an internal footing roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol/diesel and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.
Inspect your brake
If you park your car for long time or not used for long time, don’t put a hand brake because it easily get damaged or repaired or it can’t be able to use for long time. So put a tyre stopper after parking your car it will helps to prevent the brake from damage.Inspect your brake frequently because not only can you improve the safety on the vehicle, but it can also be more reliable when you drive. It can also help prevent further issues from occurring to parts of the vehicle.
Put Centre stand
After using your motorcycle put a Centre stand because it will allow you to securely park on the soft ground and they make it easy to clean and lubricate the chain and it allow you to fit your bike in a narrow space such as in your garage. If you want to park your bike for a long time put a Centre stand because the balance of fuel and engine oil in the same position.
Check tyre
Tyres are the most neglected part of a car, despite being the most important. They are the only point of contact to the road, and hence, are subjected to maximum wear and tear. It is recommended to check tyre pressure frequently because if you park your vehicle for long time the wheels are getting jammed and do the tyre rotation process every six months to improve longevity of the tyre.
Disconnect Battery
The car's battery is the source of power for all electrical systems. Minor issues with the battery can lead to a burn out of wires and fuses that lead to even bigger problems. So disconnecting car battery for storage during your absence. When you disconnect your car battery from the car, it helps prevent the electrical system including the lock and on-board computer system from draining it completely. If you leave the car battery unattended for long period, then it might damage the battery and even need replacement.
Care the Windshield Wiper
Windshield wipers are one of the most important vehicle component that are at the same time completely understand by the most drivers. If you couldn’t use you car for nearly a month, the blade of the windshield wiper could shred and break off the wiper's arm and there is more chance to make a damage your windshield. Since the metal or hard plastic will scrape across the glass. Proper functioning wiper blades are very important to your driving experience. As wipers are not used for sometime, dust settles where the wiper is resting on glass. This dust hardens up and may not be cleared with general clean. Later, when it is used, it may scratch the glass. To avoid this, keeping your wiper are folded up or cover it with a paper or cloth.
